Lead Poisoning Prevention and Awareness! DCHD proudly launched its "Lead-Free in 1-2-3," awareness campaign to reduce lead poisoning in Delaware County. Its theme "Is Lead Lurking in Your Home?", aims to educate residents on lead dangers, encourage testing, and promote prevention. Lead exposure, especially in children and pregnant women, can cause serious health issues. Visit LeadFree123.org for resources, prevention tips, and local testing options.
Update! STI/HIV testing is now available at DCHD's "Test and Go" kiosk machines. These kiosks also offer a variety of other *free* public health resources. These kiosks offer a lab (PCR) respiratory panel test for COVID-19 and Flu A/B and rapid COVID-19 home (antigen) tests, as well as public health items like Narcan, test strips, condoms, feminine hygiene supplies, and first aid kits.
