Delaware County Provides Election Updates for Voters

Media, PA — As of Tuesday, October 20, the Delaware County Elections Department had processed more than 55,000 applications for mail/absentee ballots.

Voters who applied for a ballot 10 or more days ago should have received their ballots already. Voters who fall into this category and haven’t received their ballot need to visit the Voter Service Center at the Government Center in Media or call the Elections hotline at 610-891-8683.

Voters looking to apply for a mail-in or absentee ballot should do so ASAP if they have not already. Postal Service delivery times are longer, and voters need to give themselves time to receive and return their ballot so that it arrives on or before Election Day.

Once a voter receives the ballot, vote it and return it as soon as possible. County Drop Boxes are the most direct way to return your ballot safely, securely, and on time. All 28 Drop Boxes across the county are open, all are open 24/7 through 8 PM on Election Day – except for Chadds Ford which has limited hours. Learn more at delcopa.gov/vote/ballot-drop-box.

The Voter Service Center on the ground floor of the Government Center (201 West Front Street, Media, PA 19063) is open through Election Day, Tuesday, November 3. Voters may resolve issues with ballots or receive answers to other questions. Delco Voters may get a ballot on demand at the Voter Service Center by requesting a ballot, filling it out on the spot, and dropping it in the Drop Box at the Government Center.

The Voter Service Center is open 8:30 to 4:30 PM on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, 8:30 AM to 7 PM on Wednesday and Thursday, and 9 AM to noon on Saturday.  Visit delcopa.gov/vote for more information or call 610-891-8683 with questions.

The deadline to apply for a mail-in or absentee ballot is Tuesday, October 27.  Apply at delcopa.gov/vote/mail-absentee.
