Delaware County Boards and Commissions

Delaware County Council encourages all residents to consider serving on one of the County’s many Boards and Commissions. These volunteer bodies play a vital role in shaping local programs, advising County departments, and helping ensure that policies and initiatives reflect the needs and values of our diverse community.

Each Board or Commission has its own mission, time commitment, and membership requirements — ranging from advisory committees focused on health, housing, and sustainability, to authorities that oversee economic development, transportation, and infrastructure.

Members bring valuable experience and perspectives to guide County decision-making and strengthen community engagement.

Typically, residents must be at least 18 years of age and live within Delaware County to be eligible to serve. Appointments are made by Delaware County Council or the County Executive, depending on the board’s structure.
