Delaware County Office of Services for the Aging (COSA) is proud to partner with Main Line Health to offer the two-session Healthy Steps Fall Prevention Program for adults ages 60 and older. This program will be held at Main Line Health in Broomall (1991 Sproul Road, Conference Room #2, Broomall, PA 19008) from 1-4 PM on Monday, June 15 and Thursday, June 18.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, an older adult in the U.S. dies from a fall every 20 minutes, and that falls are the most common cause of traumatic brain injury. Research has found that adults who completed the Healthy Steps workshop lower their risk of a fall significantly by 15%.

Healthy Steps, a FREE program developed by the Pennsylvania Department of Aging, is designed to raise awareness of falls, introduce steps on how to reduce falls, improve overall health, and provide referrals and resources.

The two-session program, which includes a fall risk assessment, has been a popular program and has limited space. Participants must attend both sessions.  To register, please call 484-476-3434 or email Lhhealthedcenter@mlhs.org.
