Delaware County to Host September 11th Day of Remembrance Ceremony at Rose Tree Park on 25th Anniversary of Attacks  

Media, PA — Delaware County’s annual September 11th Day of Remembrance Ceremony will be held on Friday, September 11 at 11 AM at the Law Enforcement Memorial at Rose Tree Park in Media (1671 N. Providence Rd., Media, PA 19063) to honor the 25th anniversary of the attacks.

The county will honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001, pay tribute to Delaware County’s first responders who have died in the line of duty, and remember the impact 9/11 had on the Delco community.

The ceremony, which is expected to last for an hour, will also recognize and thank the firefighters, EMS personnel, law enforcement officers, military members, and veterans who continue to serve and protect our community.

Speakers will include Delaware County Council Chair Richard Womack, Delaware County District Attorney Tanner Rouse, State Rep. Jennifer O’Mara, and State Sens. Anthony Hardy Williams and Tim Kearney. Additionally, most of the Delco Delegation to the Pennsylvania Legislature is expected to attend the ceremony.

Proceedings will also include the presentation of the colors by the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard, the presentation of wreaths at the Law Enforcement Memorial, and more.
