Summary
The Supervisor performs various administrative and clerical tasks to support the office. Strong organizational and communication skills help maintain smooth office operations.
Essential Duties
Under general supervision of the Chief Deputy
- Performs various duties, including cashiering, indexing, proofing, scanning.
- Trains new employees in various positions, including cashiering, indexing, proofing, scanning.
- Verifies recorded deeds for accuracy.
- Delivers recorded deed copies to the board of assessment.
- Responds to customer concerns via telephone and at the counter.
- Answers the telephone to answer questions, take messages or redirect to appropriate person.
- Organizes various items, such as notary papers, journals, etc.
- Generates Payroll.
- Creates Check Request and Purchase Requisitions.
- Assist Chief Deputy with certain tasks.
- Processes any redeterminations/wire transfers from the state office.
- Performs the duties of the Financial Coordinator when needed.
Qualifications
- Experienced years in Recorder of Deeds.
- Strong computer skills, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Recorder of Deeds Programs.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.

Physical Requirements: Normal, good health.
Residence Requirement: The County of Delaware has a residency requirement for employees. Anyone applying for this job must reside in Delaware County or be willing to move to the County within six months of starting employment.
