Announcement! The DCHD Fall Influenza (flu) Vaccination Events Schedule is here! DCHD will hold three free upcoming drive-thru flu clinics, a special vaccination event just for our seniors, and continue its standing immunization clinic hours. For information on dates, times, and locations see our latest press release.
Alert! Beginning September 25, every U.S. household can again place an order to receive four more free COVID-19 rapid tests delivered directly to their home through the federal government at www.covid.gov/tests
Update! Visit DCHD’s new respiratory illness webpage for information on flu, RSV, and COVID-19. To obtain the updated COVID-19 vaccine, please check vaccines.gov for the most up-to-date vaccine appointment availability in the area.
As of fall 2023, the U.S. Government COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution Program ended. COVID-19 vaccines are still free for most Americans through their health insurance plans. However, there are adults and children in Delaware County without insurance or whose insurance will not provide free COVID-19 vaccines now that these products have moved onto the commercial market. Commercial “Bridge Access Program Participants” on vaccines.gov and the DCHD will provide free COVID-19 vaccines to uninsured and underinsured residents. Visit DCHD’s Clinical Services page for times and locations for DCHD’s immunization clinics (appointments required).
Update! The Community Health Assessment Dashboard is now live! The dashboard is available on the DCHD Community Health Assessment website to allow interested parties to follow along with the DCHD and monitor progress and findings. This tool provides the ability to identify trends across geographic and demographic boundaries. Read more about the Community Health Assessment Update in our press release.
