Mission

The mission of Delaware County’s Department of Juvenile Detention and Rehabilitation Services (JDRS) is to ensure public safety while promoting a positive social change for justice involved youth by:

  1. Providing Trauma Informed Rehabilitation Services
  2. Leading with values that promote equity and wellbeing
  3. Maintaining an uplifting, safe, and secure environment for highest-risk youth
  4. Developing staff to build positive and supportive relationships.
  5. Providing varied and useful programming.
  6. Treating family members as partners.
  7. Encouraging community connections.
  8. Incorporating continuous quality improvement.
