Expungement Program

Recognizing that very few young people enjoy the full benefit of expungement entitlement for eligible matters pursuant to the Juvenile Act and Pa Rules of Juvenile Court Procedures, the DCJCPS expungement program allows every child to benefit by having department staff review eligible records and automatically file a notice for expungement with the court when such is authorized pursuant to the Juvenile Act and Pa Rules of Juvenile Court Procedures.

Additionally, if you have a juvenile record and believe you may be eligible to have it expunged, email DCJCPS-General asking that your record be considered as part of the expungement program. To begin the process, your email must include your full name, DOB, and phone number. Someone from our team will contact you within seventy-two (72) hours to acknowledge your request and begin the process.

If you have any general questions about this program, feel free to contact us at DCJCPS-General or 610-891-4729.
