Delaware County Sustainability Conference

Home / Departments / Office of Sustainability / Delaware County Sustainability Conference

The Delaware County Office of Sustainability hosts a Sustainability Conference each year, bringing together experts and everyday sustainability heroes.

In April 2022, Delaware County held its first-ever Sustainability Conference at Subaru Park in Chester City, PA.  The Conference  brought together local and regional sustainability experts, professionals, and everyday ‘sustainability heroes’ to share their knowledge, network, and discuss ideas related to climate change, environmental stewardship, health, and sustainability. In the true spirit of sustainability, the Conference was vegan, zero waste, accessible by public transportation, and free-of-charge.

After a successful inaugural event, in June 2023, Delaware County hosted its 2nd Annual Sustainability Conference at Widener University. At the event, participants enjoyed inspirational speakers, panel discussions, and plenty of opportunities to share ideas with exhibitors. The County intends to continue hosting conferences each year in an effort to keep the momentum going toward a more sustainable Delaware County.
