The backbone of many police departments is the Patrol Division. This is no exception for the Delaware County Park Police Department who boasts an astounding 70+ officers within its Patrol Division. This division is comprised of officers who come when you dial 911. The goal of the Patrol Division is to address problems within the community and assure a safe community environment through directed and routine patrol. As the largest and most visible division of the police department, the patrol division provides the first response to emergency and non-emergency incidents.

The division consists of three shifts, working 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year, in all conditions. Patrol officers answer your calls for service and take appropriate action. Sometimes this means an arrest, but more often than not it means referring persons with a particular problem to the agency or person that can best help them.
