IN-PERSON VOTING AT DELAWARE COUNTY POLLING PLACES

Election Day is Tuesday, November 5. The polls are open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. If you are in line when the polls close, you are entitled to vote. As a reminder, to vote in-person on election day you must go to your designated polling location.

Where is my polling place?

Most polling places are finalized. However, with the redistricting of Radnor still pending, and a few polling place change requests awaiting approval, final polling place locations are not final. An updated list will be posted once all changes are approved.

Be sure to double-check the location of your polling place before heading out to vote on November 5.

As a reminder, by law, voters must go to their designated polling location to vote in-person on election day.

PRECINCT CONSOLIDATION PROPOSAL

Delaware County Director of Elections James P. Allen unveiled a data-driven plan to consolidate over 100 precincts to 51 during the January 14, 2025, Board of Elections Meeting. Aimed at boosting efficiency and cutting costs, this initiative would streamline the County’s 428 precincts by merging adjacent, low-voter-count areas, reducing the total precincts by 53.

Under the proposed plan, smaller precincts would be merged with adjacent ones that share common voting districts, resulting in more balanced precinct sizes within the ideal range of 1,200–2,000 voters. No precinct would exceed 1,800 voters, ensuring manageable polling locations and efficient operations. Importantly, 89% of voters in the consolidation areas would continue voting at their current polling sites, while the remaining 11% would shift to new locations within 0.2–0.3 miles of their original sites.

IN-PERSON VOTING: PAPER BALLOTS

All Delaware County voters will vote using paper ballots. Most voters will hand-mark their ballots, while some voters — including disabled voters who do not have the ability to cast a hand-marked paper ballot — will use the Hart Verity Touch Writer to mark their ballot.
