37 Delaware County Ballot Drop Boxes Open for the Nov. 5, 2024 General Election



Beginning Monday, October 14, ballot drop boxes in 37 Delaware County municipalities will be open for completed mail/absentee ballot envelopes for the November 5, 2024 General Election. The drop boxes will remain available until 8:00 p.m. on Election Day.

For the list of drop box locations, hours of operation, and addresses, refer to mail/absentee instructions or visit the Delco Votes! website at DelcoPA.Gov/DropBox.

With the exceptions of Chadds Ford and Ridley Park, all drop boxes will be open 24/7. The website also provides an interactive map and a downloadable PDF of drop-box sites. Delaware County voters may use ANY of the 37 Delaware County Ballot Drop Boxes.

Requesting a Mail/Absentee Ballot

Only voters who have applied for a mail/absentee ballot in 2024 will receive one for the Nov. 5, 2024 General Election. Applications require valid ID and are available on the Delco Votes! website. The deadline to request a ballot is Tuesday, October 29; however, voters who are interested in using mail/absentee voting should apply now to make sure they have time to receive and return their ballots by Nov. 5.

Applications can be completed online or in person at the Delaware County Voter Service Center, located in the Govt. Center Building, 201 W. Front Street, in Media. If you do not receive your ballot within five days of your application approval, call (610) 891-VOTE (8683) or visit the Voter Service Center.


Properly Mark, Seal, and Return Your Ballot

To ensure your mail/absentee ballot is counted, follow the instructions for marking, sealing, and returning it. If a mistake is made, you may:

  • Call the Delaware County Election Hotline at (610) 891-VOTE (8683) for guidance.
  • Visit the Delaware County Voter Service Center in Media to request a replacement ballot or envelope.
  • Find guidance online at DelcoPA.Gov/Vote

Important Reminders

  • Returning Ballots: Voters can only return their own ballots. Exceptions are made for assisting disabled or emergency absentee voters, which require a signed declaration form available at DelcoPA.Gov/DropBox.
  • Questions: Call the Election Hotline at (610) 891-VOTE (8683) or visit the Voter Service Center at the Government Center in Media.

Voter Service Center: Location and Hours

The Delaware County Voter Service Center is located on the first floor of the Government Center Building, at 201 W. Front Street, in Media. Voters can access the Service Center through the Courtyard accessible from Orange Street or W. 3rd Street. On-street parking is available.

  • Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • Wed: 8:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
  • Sat: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (noon)
