Now Accepting Applications for Mail and Absentee Ballots—Submit Yours Today!

Don’t wait until the deadline to request a Mail/Absentee Ballot!

Delaware County voters may apply now for a mail/absentee for the upcoming November 5, 2024 General Election.

As a reminder, mail ballots will be sent only to those voters who complete an application (signed with a valid form of ID) during this calendar year. Voters who voted by mail in previous years will not receive a mail ballot without applying this year.

Those who already have applied should note that ballots are not expected to be mailed until early October. Voters may check if they have applied for a mail/absentee ballot at DelcoPA.Gov/BallotStatus. Voters also may contact the Election Hotline at (610) 891-VOTE.

For voters who prefer to cast a mail/absentee ballot but have not yet applied, applications are available for download from the Delco Votes! website at DelcoPA.gov/VBM-App and can also be obtained in-person at the Delaware County Voter Service Center in Media, PA. The office is open Mon. – Fri., from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. on the ground floor of the Government Center Building (located inside the Orange Street entrance) at 201 W. Front St., in Media.

Mail/Absentee Ballot Reminders

• Once the ballot has been completed, the voter should place the ballot: (1) into the yellow secrecy envelope (marked Official Ballot Envelope), seal that envelope, and then place that yellow envelope into the larger purple-and-white return envelope. Voters must then sign and date the back of that return envelope. Return envelopes that are not signed, dated or sealed cannot be opened counted.
• Voters are reminded that they may use any Delaware County ballot drop box to return their completed ballot, but each voter may return only that voter’s own ballot. Voters cannot return ballots for spouses, family members, or other individuals unless an official “Designated Agent” form is completed by the voter and the designated agent and submitted to the Bureau of Elections.
• Voters who attempt to return ballots for other voters without completed “designated agent” forms will be referred to law enforcement for investigation and prosecution.
