Released: September 14, 2021

Delaware County Council will hold a public meeting at 6:00 p.m. on September 27 in the County Council Public Meeting Room, located on first floor of the Government Center.

Council is holding the public meeting to receive input and discuss the potential uses of the $110,083,961 in funding it will receive under the American Rescue Plan Act. Currently, only 5.1% ($5,663,600) of the funding has been committed to initiatives and allowable uses.

Council is seeking community feedback on the uses of the balance of funds in the following categories: Public Health/Economic Recovery, Infrastructure Investments (water, sewer and broadband), and uses for funds to be applied to revenue losses the County experienced due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A discussion of the County’s approach is provided in the Recovery Plan, available at https://delcopa.gov/pdf/ARPARecoveryPlan_August2021.pdf

The meeting will be streamed live: www.delcopa.gov/council/meetings.html
