2020 Delaware County Senior Games Cancelled

After thoughtful consideration, Delaware County has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Delaware County Senior Games, tentatively scheduled to be held in August, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Despite ongoing mitigation efforts and positive trends in Delaware County and throughout the region, it was determined that holding the games could pose a threat to participants, volunteers, committee members, and sponsors. Given the number of participants, indoor venues, and shared sports equipment, it would be very difficult to ensure the safety and well-being of all, which is the primary concern of the committee and the County.

This was a very difficult decision and Delaware County appreciates your understanding. We hope our senior community is staying safe and healthy and we look forward to seeing you at the games in 2021!
