Local Centenarians to be honored on May 14 at annual luncheon

Delaware County Council and the County of Delaware Services for the Aging (COSA) are searching for centenarians to honor at the annual Centenarian Luncheon which will be held on Thursday, May 14 at the Drexelbrook Banquet Center in Drexel Hill.

The18th annual event is one of COSA’s highlights of the year. Delaware County residents turning 100 or older in 2020 are welcome to attend. Last year, 65 centenarians attended the luncheon and COSA staff visited 19 additional centenarians in the community.

Centenarians and one guest are admitted for free. Additional guests may purchase tickets for $25.00 each. Guests will also receive a commemorative photo from the day along with a proclamation from Delaware County Council.

The organization or facility that brings the most centenarians to the luncheon will receive a cash prize given by COSA. For more information or to register to attend the luncheon, contact Debbie Hedgepeth at (610) 872-1406.
