Delaware County Park Police Chief Scott Mahoney was officially sworn in as Chief on June 24 in the Delaware County Council Public Meeting Room.

Joined by his family, County officials and Park Police Officers, Chief Mahoney was sworn in by Delaware County Court of Common Pleas Judge Jack Whelan. Chief Mahoney began his career in law enforcement in 1992 as a Delaware County Park Police Patrolman, rising through the ranks of Corporal, Sergeant, Detective Lieutenant and Detective Captain. During his time serving with Delaware County Park Police, he also served part-time with Millbourne Borough, Colwyn, Clifton Heights and Aldan Police Departments and as a volunteer Firefighter for Upper Darby.
