The County is on a mission to ensure mobility for all by developing an Active Transportation Plan that will address the accessibility, safety, convenience, and enjoyment for those who use non-motorized forms of transportation.
Active transportation, also known as human-powered transportation, engages people in healthy physical activity while they travel from one destination to another. This includes walking, biking, wheeling, skateboarding, rollerblading, and in some places, it even could include kayaking or rowing! There are many obstacles to active transportation being regularly utilized- even though this may be the only option for transportation for some. These obstacles include lack of sidewalks, crosswalks, bike lanes, and inadequate public transit.
Delaware County is committed to ensuring that everyone has freedom of choice in how to safely travel throughout the County. By creating an Active Transportation Plan, we can work to provide a transportation network that is accessible and safe for all users! We want you to be a part of the process and encourage you to participate by signing up on our project page and filling out the Community Survey. On our Walk Roll Delco Map Survey, you can pinpoint on a map where you would like to see gaps in the network addressed or where there are issues with the existing infrastructure, such as sidewalk conditions.
There are a number of ways to get involved in Walk Roll Delco:

Let us know of an upcoming event where we can engage with the community
