Job Opening: Sr. Financial Clerk

Working Conditions: Forty (40) hours/week: 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM or 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Under the general direction of the President Judge and Director and direct supervision of the Deputy Director, responsible for financial functions related to support payments.
Collects cash, money order, and cashier check payments through the cash window
Monitors additional payments and deposits collected through the Court Financial department
Posts support payments to Kidstar program for distribution
Prepares deposits and transports them to a financial institution
Audits support accounts; researches cases in dispute, resolve and adjusts records as needed
Reviews financial reports generated through PACSES
Reconciles monthly bank statements
Receives phone calls from employees, clients requesting explanation/information and/or clarification of financial case status
Communicates with the other County and State agencies relating to financial matters
Performs other related duties as required
High school graduate or equivalent. Ability to learn and interpret court orders. Strong math and organizational skills. Must be detail-oriented for investigative work on cases.
Ability to function in highly stressful situations
Ability to sit for long periods of time.
Ability to deal with people who are upset, irate, and or hostile
