The SAP Basis Administrator is a resource responsible for maintenance and support of the County's SAP system.
Monitor, tune, and troubleshoot the SAP technical environment on an ongoing basis.
Schedule and execute the SAP transport system.
Install SAP systems and related software (e.g., database), including upgrades, preventative and corrective maintenance through the change management process and within scheduled maintenance windows.
Coordinate, assign and apply BSI Upgrades, SAP User Role Admin, Security Patches, Application of support packages.
Determine how Profile Parameters Are Set and Evaluated; Setting and evaluating profile parameters.
Set up and working with operation modes.
Work with task lists Basic database administration.
Central database administration with DBA Cockpit.
Apply security policies to the SAP systems as determined by the IT Security group.
Develop year end activities including Support pack upgrades and following ASUG norms.
Develop, prepare, and implement software maintenance processes.
Work with Support Package Manager (SPAM) and Software Update Manager (SUM) and spool configuration.
Analyze SAP EWA reports and optimize system performance based on EWA report.
Monitor system with SAP Solution Manager.
Schedule background jobs in AS ABAP.
Configure printers in AS ABAP understanding the concept of logical spool servers and background processing.
Perform other duties, task and special projects, as required.
BS/BA in information technology or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in system refreshes of SQL-based SAP systems
Experience managing SAP technologies as a basis administrator in a medium or large size organization.
Experience working with Support Package Manager (SPAM) and Software Update Manager (SUM) and Spool Configuration.?

Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and proceed with objectives with minimum supervision.

Database Monitoring and troubleshooting.
Experience with requirements gathering, analysis and documentation.
SAP Basis certification or related SAP certification.
Applications analysis and design experience preferred.
Customer service experience

Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
