Salary: $35,799.40 Annually / $19.67 Hourly
Receives & initiates processing of PFA petitions.
Provides petition;provides information pertaining to petition/hearing process.
Reviews completed petition to ensure required information is included.
Utilizes PFAD archival computer system to enter petition information, create electronic file and generate paper copy; also enter petition information into database.
Generates corresponding Data Sheet from PFAD computer.
Reviews printed Data Sheet to ensure accuracy of Protection Order Conditions.
Escorts plaintiff (with completed petition) to Court Administrator's office for hearing to obtain temporary order.
After hearing: receives signed order; time stamps; makes certified copies for plaintiff ( to distribute appropriately) and makes copies for dept. records.
Enters hearing disposition into PFAD and dept. computer systems.
After formal hearing (to grant, continue or deny petition) obtains disposition and records in computer systems; generates updated data sheet.
May have to notify PA State Police of new PFA petitions/final hearing dispositions.
Processes forms/documents pertaining to violation of PFA order.
High school graduate or equivalent.
Minimum of four (4) years work experience in court/court-support department MAY be considered.
Normal good health.
Moderate physical activity due to walking to/from Court Administrator's Office (usually daily) and extented periods of time standing at office counter.
Ability to lift up to 25lbs.
Residence Requirement: The County of Delaware has a residency requirement for employees. Anyone applying for this job must reside in Delaware County or be willing to move to the County within six months of starting employment.
