Incumbent:
The Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP) Clerk will work under the supervision of and in coordination and cooperation with MCM Emergency Planner and PHEP Coordinator. They will support the programmatic activities that strengthen the Delaware County’s PHEP capabilities.
Manage the collection, entry, and maintenance of Delaware County MCM stakeholder contact data including OPEN and CLOSED Point of Dispensing (POD) contacts, Local Distribution Sites (LDS)
Create, maintain, and communicate meeting, training, and exercise agendas, minutes, and schedule
Maintain and update hard copy planning documents, memorandums of understanding, contracts, contacts, addendums, and checklists
Interact with the Health Department for administrative support
Coordinate facility, internet, and other office administration tasks
Support PHEP and MCM planning, training, and exercises.
Support the PHEP and MCM program through off-site support
Drive and operate all Delaware County Emergency Services and Delaware County Health Department equipment and vehicles
Utilize radio and other equipment to communicate during emergency and daily operations
Support the disaster and emergency response efforts
Support EOC operations as assigned
Support Population Health, Health Department, and County initiatives and activities
Perform other duties, tasks, and special projects, as required
High School Diploma or equivalent
Three years of experience in administration, data management, communications, public health emergency preparedness, emergency management field and/or military service
Experience using Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
Experience working with data management systems.
Ability to maintain confidential information and handle confidential matters
Ability to follow protocol, procedures, guidelines
Able to carry out written or verbal instructions
A strong work ethic and ability to manage a demanding workload
Strong relationship-building skills. Ability to work independently and as a member of a highly productive team

Ability to utilize personal vehicle to travel to points away from the normal work location to fulfill the obligations of the position
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to walk, sit, lift or carry items, drive a vehicle during working hours, and talk or hear. Occasionally, the employee will need to stand; reach or work with arms above shoulders; bend, twist or rotate at the waist; kneel, stoop, crouch or squat; climb stairs; push items; work with machinery; and work with an uncommon level of noise. On rare occasions, the employee will need to crawl.
Ability to work extended hours, as necessary
Requires 24/7/365 availability for emergency situations
Monday through Friday 8:30AM-4:30PM and on call essential employee.
