Salary: 45,000.00
The Training Coordinator assists/supports the design, development and implementation of effective training initiatives to support and develop the County’s workforce.
Under the direction of the HR Director and Assistant HR Director, the Training Coordinator will:
Plan, organize and effectively conduct employee training on various skills, policies, and compliance topics
Ensure new hires are onboarded properly and have the training they need to be in compliance with HR county policies for employment
Ensure that all current employees are up to date with compliance trainings as they relate to current HR policy
Coordinate and conduct need’s analyses in various forms; analyze information to help identify and define present and future training needs
Evaluate and modify existing or proposed programs; suggest and implement suitable changes.
Under the guidance of council and the HR director, modify all training requirements within HR training policies
Work with the HR Director to design, draft, and/or acquire new training materials
Collaborate with outside consultants and training providers to deliver training, as needed. Manage the allocated budget for outside training as set by the HR director.
Facilitate delivery of training by reserving and setting up needed equipment and training rooms; coordinate training schedules; prepare and distribute training aids; and perform other related tasks
Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through development and training surveys
Maintain current knowledge of new training techniques and developments
Implement and administer a Learning Management System (LMS); Maintain our contracts with our LMS provider and training content providers.
Support Human Resources initiatives through designing and delivering materials, utilizing electronic delivery where available
Assist and support Human Resources Department with administrative tasks such as reception, SAP maintenance, filing, etc.
Performs all other duties, tasks and special projects as assigned
Bachelors degree, preferred in education or related field
2-3 years of experience in related field
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong presentation skills
Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods
Ability to design and implement effective training
Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to build collaborative relationships with employees at all levels of the organization
Hands-on commitment to getting the job done
Residence Requirement: The County of Delaware has a residency requirement for employees. Anyone applying for this job must reside in Delaware County or be willing to move to the County within three six months of starting employment.
