Summary

One year as a Fiscal Assistant or three years of work involving the maintenance of fiscal or financial records, including one year of responsible work which involves the application of account or fiscal principles and practices; and graduation from high school; or one year of experience in maintaining and reviewing fiscal records and an associates degee in accounting or business administration; or any equivalent combination of experience and training.


Position Requirements

This position requires Pennsylvania residency.

Position Description

The Fiscal Technician is responsible for compliance with Title IV-E eligibility and reimbursements and reports directly to the Fiscal Officer working with the County's Children and Youth Services office. Your work will help ensure partial federal reimbursement for the cost of providing foster care, adoption assistance, and kinship guardianship assistance to children who meet federal eligibility criteria. This is an excellent opportunity to utilize your knowledge clerical-accounting work involving the application of bookkeeping principles and practices, as well as superior verbal and written communication skills.

This position is also responsible for maintaining related fiscal functions associated with state systems and many county databases. Legal Requirements: This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.

Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including, but not limited to, PA State Police, Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI clearance.
