Summary

The Fiscal Officer 3 is responsible for the daily operations and overall fiscal management of the DHS Administrative program. Responsibilities to include but not limited to internal audit oversight of the DHS programs as well as examining program policies and procedures; reviewing state, federal, and county bulletins; and suggesting cost saving implementations and innovations while maintaining or improving service delivery. Under the direction of the Department of Human Services Director, you will also implement necessary changes and disseminate informational material. Work includes preparing operational and procedural manuals as needed in addition to instructing and training accounting staff with respect to internal fiscal policies and procedures. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment

Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements

One year as a County Fiscal Officer 2; OR three years of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business-related bachelor’s degree that includes six college credits in accounting; OR five years of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business-related associate’s degree that includes six college credits in accounting; OR an equivalent combination of experience and training which includes or is supplemented by six college credits in accounting.

Legal Requirements: This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
