Salary: $50,000 annual
Provides administrative services to the Environmental Health Division by overseeing, managing and coordinating the daily operation of the Environmental Health Divisions and administrative assistants.
Under general supervision of the Environmental Health Administrator, Administrative Coordinator is responsible for monitoring the Application Process of Plan Reviews licensing, permitting, registering facilities and businesses, managing the processing of any application payments and coordinating the flow of communication amongst the staff.
The Administrative Coordinator will also be responsible for maintaining all Environmental Health files, file archives etc. The Administrative Assistant will also schedule/attend meetings, reserve conference rooms, and monitor information flow.
This position is essential in maintaining Personally Identifiable Information (PII), job requisitions, and will interface with the County Personnel Department when required.
The Administrative Assistant shall create and maintain cross-divisional relationships, by providing internal and external communications and operational support.
High School graduate or equivalent.
Two (2) years of clerical experience working in an office environment.
Basic knowledge of the DCHD Environmental Health Division operating policies and procedures.
Ability to be flexible while working in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with computer processes and programs, i.e. Microsoft Word, Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint,
Experience with payment processing and cash handling
The ability to work independently
Strong organizational skills
A clear understanding of basic management principles
Strong oral and written communication skills
