Specific duties of this position include the following, but are not limited to: utilization of the state database system (CPCMS), typing of any and all case material (i.e. petitions, proposed court orders, subpoenas, notice material, dockets, court orders, memos to the court, bench warrants, motions, case records, forms, correspondence, court summaries, etc.) receptionist duties, operating the switchboard, attending court hearings, docketing, distributing court documents, scheduling court hearings and consults, processing appeals, statistics, interaction with co-workers, agency staff, clients, and professionals, maintaining and distributing supplies and forms, monitoring and providing routine maintenance for fax machine and office equipment, taking minutes at assigned meetings (i.e. unit meetings), filing and maintenance of any and all case material, providing clerical coverage in other office sites as deemed necessary by the Clerical Supervisor, and other activities as necessary to maintain the Legal Services Clerical Department and other clerical functions of the agency.
Six months as a Clerk Typist 1 and educational development to the level of eight grade, or completion of a high school business curriculum which included at least one typing course, or, any combination of equivalent experience and training.

Legal Requirements: This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including, but not limited to, PA State Police, Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI clearance.
