Salary: $110,000.00 - $115,000.00 Annually
Lead and coordinate training programs for public defenders.
Mentor public defenders in the trial rooms of the Courts of Common pleas.
Manage administrative staff.
Supervise and collaborate with technical team and outside service providers to implement operational initiatives and direct technical upgrades.
Perform other duties, tasks and special projects, as required.
Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited college or university.
Member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association.
License to practice law in Pennsylvania.
Substantial prior experience as a public defender.
Supervisory experience.
Prior experience managing teams and training attorneys.
Substantial trial experience highly valued.
Demonstrable ability to work with case management software and criminal database systems such as AOPC; collaborative team member.
Excellent skills as a criminal defense lawyer.
Ability to work independently.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Accurate and detail-oriented.
Ability to establish priorities and multi-task.
Working knowledge of the law (statutes, court cases, rules, and regulations).
Working knowledge of Pennsylvania Rules of Civil, Criminal and Appellate Procedures.
Working knowledge of Rules of Professional Conduct for Attorneys.
A valid driver’s license is required for this position.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit, walk, stand, drive a vehicle to and from different locations, climb stairs, and talk or hear. Occasionally, the employee will need to bend, twist or rotate at the waist while working; and reach above shoulder height. On rare occasions, the employee will need to kneel, stoop, crouch or squat; lift or carry items; and taste or smell.
