Position Description

As a County Casework Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of all federal, state, and local county procedures for individuals living at home or in agency supported living arrangements. Work involves providing direct supervision for Caseworkers (Support Coordinators) including teaching, modeling, and mentoring best practices through supervisory sessions and hands-on experience. Within this role, you will be tasked with evaluating staff performance, maintaining client records, and reviewing incoming referrals. You will also have the opportunity to provide a working environment that is equitable and conducive to fair work practices when working with individuals in the community, community partners, and staff. Additional responsibilities include:

Maintaining a working knowledge and understanding of the 6400 regulations to implement incident management protocols, service delivery, and fair hearing process.

Completing accurate and detailed documentation.

Ensuring staff receive appropriate training.

Monitoring ISP trackers for compliance.

Researching local resources and expanding upon opportunities with community partners.


Position Requirements

Two years of professional experience in public or private social work and a bachelor's degree with major course work in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; or any equivalent combination of experience and education which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.

This position requires Pennsylvania residency.

Legal Requirements

This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.

Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including, but not limited to, PA State Police, Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI clearance.
