In this County Caseworker 3 position, you will serve as a lead worker on a team that is responsible for supporting all children, and their families, who enter our system as NAS babies, foster kids, and medically complex children. Your responsibilities will include a high level of care coordination, assisting in the Safe Plan of Care activities, and being a resource for Service Coordinators to access training and community resource information and referrals. Work will rely on your knowledge of Early Intervention, the early learning standards, and local resources for children and families to help support the Strengthening Families Initiative.
The children and families we support will rely on you to ensure that all evaluations and services are delivered within required deadlines and to effectively implement coaching strategies when working with families and providers. Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time based on the program offices’ schedules and after completing six months of employment and being regular status. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Upper Darby.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Two years of experience as a County Caseworker 2; OR
A bachelor's degree in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences and three years of professional social casework experience in a public or private social services agency; OR
Any equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.
PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
You must be able to perform essential job functions.
You must pass a background investigation.
This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including, but not limited to, PA State Police, Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
