The purpose of the MH/IDD Advisory Board, hereinafter referred to as Board, is to advise, review, evaluate, recommend, and advocate actions related to the delivery of mental health and intellectual and developmental disabilities treatment services.

The Board will review, comment, and sanction an annual comprehensive County Human Services Plan to be submitted to Delaware County Council and PA Department of Human Services for approval.

The Board shall consist of an uneven number, up to 11, and strive to have no less than 9 members, and shall be appointed by Delaware County Council for a three-year term. Appointments to the Board shall be residents of Delaware County and shall strive to be representative of the population, geographical section, and of the consumer groups in Delaware County that receive services through the Delaware County Offices of Behavioral Health and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. The meetings are held on the third Wednesday of the month at 8 am at the Delaware County Intermediate Unit in Morton.
