The purpose of the Planning Council, hereinafter referred to as Board, is to advise, review, evaluate, recommend, and advocate actions related to the delivery of alcohol and other drug prevention, intervention, and treatment services.

The Board will review and sanction an annual comprehensive alcohol and other drug prevention, intervention, and treatment plans to be submitted to Delaware County Council and Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs for approval.

The Board will have an odd number of members, with a minimum of 11, and no more than 15 members, chosen or approved by County Council for a three-year term. The Board will be composed of at least one individual from each of the following six categories: Criminal Justice, Business or Industry, Labor, Education, Medicine, and Psycho-Social Professional. The remaining members should include the categories of: Student, Elderly, Recovering Person or Community. No more than 60% of the members may be of the same sex. The meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month at 8 am in the Media Government Center.
