Major on-site activities over the next month include continuing to separate and process demolition materials within the old basement footprints. Steel is being separated from concrete by excavators with processing attachments. The steel is being trucked off-site for recycling. A concrete crushing machine is continuing to break up concrete into rubble-size pieces that will remain on-site, backfilling the old basement south of Second Street. This work will continue for approximately one more month, weather permitting.

PECO completed utility pole and service restorations on Orange Street on Jan. 5.

Orange Street and Citron Street were re-opened to vehicle traffic on Jan. 11. Parking spaces on the east side of Orange Street will re-open, but the parking lane on the west-side of Orange Street will be closed to traffic until adjacent sidewalk repairs can be completed.

Amber Street will remain closed to traffic until asphalt pavement patching and pavement work is completed, weather permitting.

The demolition contractor is typically working 5 days per week at this time.
