The Economic Development Oversight Board is a nonprofit corporation which serves as the overall management entity for all economic and industrial development entities in the County including the Delaware County Redevelopment Authority, the Delaware County Industrial Development Authority, the Delaware County Chester Waterfront Industrial Development Authority and the Delaware County Industrial Development Corporation. The Board is the County’s Certified Economic Development Organization and authorized to process financial incentive programs offered by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development. The mission of the Board is to seek to create an environment that will facilitate and encourage the retention of existing business, the formation of new business and the vitality of all business with the Delaware County. The Board will participate in a series of cooperative efforts, programs, projects activities and plans designed to retain and create jobs and to encourage capital investment in order to sustain and increase tax rateables in the county.
