Salary: $54,445.00 Annual


Summary

We are looking for an objective Internal Auditor to add value and improve our operations by bringing a systematic and disciplined approach to the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. The successful candidate will possess a thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and a sound judgement.


Job Duties

Assists in conducting financial, management, program, performance, information technology, internal control, and compliance audits of County Departments, contract providers, and grantees.


Qualifications

Completion of a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required, preferably in accounting, auditing, business administration, or related field.

Experience in auditing or governmental work is preferred.

Equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.

Strong Excel skills.

Strong organizational skills.

Must be able to prioritize and multi-task with limited supervision.

Excellent analytical skills and strong written and oral communication skills.

Ability to work well with others as part of a collaborative team, and to work independently.

Strong commitment to customer service, with a proactive and positive attitude toward assisting others.

Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality.


Relevant Knowledge & Skills

General knowledge of generally accepted government auditing standards.

Good knowledge of accounting and auditing principles, practices, and methods including governmental accounting.
